purple woods - maple festival

invited us out to a maple festival

i thought it was bowmanville's downtown maplefest thing

another peoplefest like applefest

so pleasantly surprised was i

to find that purplewoods was the plan

with the horses and the sap
and the pancakes
and of course
the maple syrup
light and dark - yummy and yummy

and yummy
then

a little bit of a hike

hoping to feed some birds

a spinning wheel spinnin round

and an opportunity to make and eat your own hand churned butter
