the elevators at puntarena are infamous

notorious even

there's three of them - powered i think by cubans

on something bicycle-esque

designed by the professor from gilligan's island

now the one guy

he shows up for work all the time

the other two

must have to hitchhike into town from havana

because a lot of the time

only one elevator works

personally i had no problem waiting

the view was spectacular

the view from the lobby right outside our room

was warm and orange

facing south

catching both sunrises and sunsets

with a view of the mountains

our room was hotel-ish

adequate

and comfortable

with a fantastic view from the balcony

this is the 25 km coastline of veradero - all beach

the cleaning staff went a little above and beyond

making the bed look fabulous for whenever we returned

and then diana would make it look even better
